On the basis of the Tenth Five-Year Plan, through unremitting efforts from 10 to 15, the Foreign Languages Institute will be built into a first-class foreign languages institute in the province with reasonable teacher structure, personnel training suitable for social needs and strong teachers' scientific research ability, and the transformation from teaching-oriented to teaching-research-oriented colleges will be realized. Specifically:

-Two provincial key disciplines will be built in 20 10; Add 2-3 master's degree programs, and declare a doctoral degree program on 20 15.

—— By 20 10, the number of undergraduates will be controlled at around 1300, and the number of graduate students (including master of education) will reach around 160.

-While focusing on ensuring the development of English subjects, we will strive to develop a new language 1-2 by the end of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, and make a breakthrough in the setting of professional languages.

—— By 20 10, the number of teachers will reach 240, including professors 15- 18, and the proportion of teachers in senior positions will reach 35%, including 70% with master's degree or above, doctors10 and academic backbones/kloc-0.

-Strengthen foreign cooperation and exchanges, establish foreign language exchange relations with 1-2 foreign universities by 20 10, and carry out cooperative education, teaching and scientific research; Expand the proportion of teachers who go abroad to study for degrees, further studies and attend international conferences year by year.
