Ding Haochuan (1909— 196 1), a modern educator, was born in Wanxian County, Zhili (Hebei) and was once the editor-in-chief of Linqing Daily. 1923 joined Baoding No.2 Normal University, 1925 joined the Communist Youth League of China, 1928 was expelled from the school for taking part in the student movement.
