The school building is in the Yan Zhai compound, and the scale is small. At that time, the name of the school was originally called "private middle school", and soon it was renamed "special middle school" and "private No.1 middle school". After that, gentry Zheng Juru donated 65,438+00 mu of land in the southwest of the city. After many twists and turns, he built a school building. This land is located in the open depression zone in the southwest of Tianjin, referred to as "Nankai Depression". The name of Nankai came from this. After many twists and turns, the school built a school building here. 1907 Autumn, Yanzhai moved into a new school building. The school was renamed "Nankai Middle School Hall" and later "Private Nankai School", which was the beginning of the school name "Nankai".

origin

1965438+On September 22nd, 2007, Tianjin South Canal burst. That night, the flood flooded into Tianjin Nankai Middle School. In June+October, 5438, under the personal command of Zhang, the whole school moved to Hebei School of Political Science and Law. In order to distinguish it from students in other schools, each student wears a paper and purple temporary school badge on his chest. Purple and white are the colors of Nankai school (purple means "purple gas comes from the east"), and it is this purple and white school emblem that makes students forget that they are from Nankai. From now on, every year on the evening of September 23rd, the school will hold a "flood memorial service" in the dining hall. The students all sat at the dinner table and drank porridge to commemorate. They all wore purple and white cards, and the word "Nankai" was printed on their chests, just like that of that year, except that there was a small line printed below: "In memory of the flood in the six years of the Republic of China".

change

The emblem of the post-Nankai University was changed from a coat of arms to a round emblem. Different from the new emblem, the word at the bottom is the pinyin "Tianjin" in Tianjin, where Nankai University is located. The original "Tianjin" logo was changed to "19 19", marking the founding time of Nankai University, and the color of the school emblem was Nankai school violet. The school motto allows fairness to change with each passing day.

"Let fairness and ability change with each passing day" is the condensation of Nankai school-running concept, the sublimation of school-running tradition, and the embodiment of Nankai people's special value orientation and spiritual quality. As Mr. Yu Chuanjian said, "the word' fairness and ability' is entrusted by the spirit of the whole school, and the efforts of teachers and students are also based on this word." The motto of Nankai University was founded in 1934. At the 30th anniversary meeting of Nankai University, President Zhang Boling officially declared "Gong" and "Neng" as the motto of Nankai University.

The discourse form of "allowing fairness and ability" is in the Book of Songs Truffle Flooding: "allowing Wu to show false ancestors." Allow, the first auxiliary word of the text. Allowing fairness and ability means having both ability and political integrity. Zhang Boling's original intention is to make Nankai students have "the morality of loving the country and the community, and the ability to serve the society with their husbands". "With each passing day", the textbook of Li Da: "The dish of soup says:' New is new, and it is renewed.' "It means to keep pace with the times, and there are new changes every day, describing the rapid progress.

Mr. Zhang Boling pointed out: "Yun Gong is a grand duke, not a small one, and a small one is just selfish, which is nothing. Only by letting the public be far-sighted, can we teach others correctly, carry forward collective patriotism and eliminate selfish departmentalism. " "To build a modern country, we must have modern scientific talents, and the educational purpose of Nankai School is to train students with modern talents, which requires not only modern theoretical talents, but also practical work ability." "The so-called rapid development means that not only everyone should be able to accept new things, but also become the creator of new things; Not only must we catch up with the new era, but we must also be at the forefront of the times. "

The standard Chinese font of the school motto originated from1a rubbings of the inscription written by Wu Yuru for the tombstone buried by President Zhang Boling and his wife in April, 962, and was later standardized. The origin of school songs

In order to consolidate the team spirit, Nankai wrote the school song before the May 4th Movement. The motion to write the school song was put forward at the tea party of Nankai Alumni Association in Tokyo by Zhang Peng, a student studying in Zhang Boling, before May 19 16, in order to welcome the old headmaster of Nankai and Nankai athletes to Japan to participate in the Far East Games.

19 18 At the end of the year, the old principal of Zhang Boling came back from studying at Columbia University, and asked Sun Runsheng, a music teacher, to approve a song called "On the Christmas Tree, a Western Christmas Song", which was sung by thousands of people at a party, hoping that God would cast the true spirit of Nankai.

Rong Zhi's school motto, also known as forty-character mirror proverbs, is the school motto of large and medium-sized schools in Nankai system, which is second only to the school motto of "Fair and decent, changing with each passing day". It was written by Zhang Boling, a famous educator and founder of Nankai System. All schools in Nankai system have big mirrors in important passages to remind teachers and students to pay attention to gfd at any time. These mirrors are engraved with this mirror motto. Mirror advice requires Nankai students to have a neat, decent, positive gfd, a peaceful and generous attitude towards life, reminding them to pay attention to self-cultivation and improve their moral sentiments. At the beginning of the new school year, freshmen are required to recite the mirror advice and not forget the inculcation of the old headmaster of Zhang Boling.

origin

Zhang Boling believes that if we don't dress properly, how can we save the world? Therefore, in order to cultivate students' proper dress habits and civilized behaviors, Zhang Boling specially erected a large mirror one person high on the left side of the corridor in the east building of Tianjin Nankai Middle School (the entrance side of the school gate), and Zhang Boling asked Yen Hsiu to write 40 words on it: "Face must be clean, hair must be cut, clothes must be straightened, and knots must be tied. Head straight, shoulders flat, chest wide, back straight. Weather: Don't be arrogant, irritable and lazy. Color: Yihe, Yijing, Yizhuang. " (Special Issue on the 40th Anniversary of Nankai University) made students take warning when entering and leaving the school gate, and was later named "Mirror Proverb", which has been handed down all the time. On the square behind the main building of Nankai, the symbol of Nankai spirit-school clock is hung. The cast copper brackets on both sides are also bell-shaped, and there is a beam on the bracket, on which the calibration clock is hung. This clock is very big, weighing more than 3000 kilograms. Antique, giving people a sense of vicissitudes. Every year, freshmen come to this clock to hold a ceremony. The bell of Nankai school hangs quietly in the back square of the main building. Whenever new students enter school and graduates leave school, the school will ring the bell.

At that time, the school clock was made in Krupp factory in Germany. It was originally a commemorative clock made to celebrate Li Hongzhang's birthday. The bronze clock face is made of the whole diamond sutra and weighs more than 13 thousand Jin. 1904, Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Tianjin, and the British took the clock away for daily use. After Eight-Nation Alliance returned to Tianjin, the clock was moved to Guang Hai Temple, and later it was given to Nankai University as the school clock. The bronze bell is placed on the west side of Siyuan Hall, supported by four arched beams and columns, and hung on a pedestal about 2 meters high. Looking through the photos of Nankai that year, the bronze bell was quite spectacular at that time, which was a scene of Nankai at that time. On the anniversary of the September 18th Incident 1, Nankai teachers and students rang the school bell nine times a day, 1 time a day, and eight times a day, symbolizing that Nankai people will remember the national humiliation of September 18th. The bell roared and shook Fiona Fang for miles.

1On July 28th, 937, the Japanese army attacked Tianjin, and the Japanese troops stationed in Guang Hai Temple aimed the muzzle directly at Nankai University in Balitai. Nankai was killed, buildings were destroyed, books and equipment were savagely looted, and 10,000 kilograms of clocks were nowhere to be found. After the war, the school used many methods to find the school clock. President Zhang Boling wrote to General Shang Zhen, the head of the Japanese delegation to China, asking for some looted items in Japan, but there was no sound and the school clock was doomed to be destroyed. 1July, 997, in order to remember the painful history of the 60th anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Nankai Garden, the school decided to recast the school clock. The newly cast school bell was designed by Wang Zhongquan, director of Nanjing Jinling Ancient Art Bronze Research Institute and designer of Shi Jing Bell in Nanjing Jinghai Temple, and cast by Jiangsu Metallurgical Machinery Factory. The mallet of the big clock and the mallet of Nanjing Jingshizhong come from an ebony tree of 80 years, and the two mallets of the north and south can be called twin sisters.

The new Nankai school clock weighs 3000 kilograms and is 1.937 meters high, which means that teachers and students should remember that the Japanese bombed Nankai in 1937. Around the clock, 60 school emblems are engraved, symbolizing the 60th anniversary. The front of the clock is "Nankai". The words on the clock were written by the famous calligrapher Mr. Kang Yin, with the school song on the left and the school motto in the middle.

The clock of Nankai University:

Vast rivers and seas, the initiation of learning;

The rise of Wei Yingyan, the mountains are high and the water is long;

Yu Xiang is negative, the light of the country;

July 7th Incident, the enemy went crazy;
