There are 9 in-service teachers in the Department of Materials Engineering, 8 of whom have the title of associate professor or above. The undergraduate major of material forming and control was set up, with 23 students and more than 500 graduates. 1982 began to recruit master students, and 15 masters have been trained. The department has undertaken and completed a number of scientific research tasks, and is at the advanced level in China in the research of "surface engineering" and "wear-resistant materials".
