Beijing Normal University (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Normal University) is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education, a national first-class "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project" construction university, and a national cultural quality education for college students, personnel training for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, life science and technology personnel training, excellent legal personnel training and excellent Chinese traditional culture heritage base of the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Beijing, with Cheng Jianping, Party Secretary, and Ma Jun, President. [1] The school motto is "Learn to be a teacher and be a model". [2]

Beijing Normal University is a university featuring teacher education, educational science and basic disciplines of arts and sciences. As of May, 20021,the school is composed of two campuses (including four campuses), namely, Beijing Campus and Zhuhai Campus, with three departments, 27 colleges, two departments, 1 1 Institute and four academies. There are 32 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 28 post-doctoral research stations, national high-end think tank pilot units 1, 4 national key laboratories 1, national field scientific observation and research station 1, and 3,437 faculty members. The school's predecessor was Shi Jing University Hall, which was founded in 1902. 1908 was renamed as Shi Jing Excellent Normal School, with independent organizational system. 19 12 was renamed Beijing Normal University. 1923, the school was renamed as Beijing Normal University, becoming the first normal university in the history of China. 193 1 year, 1952 Beiping Women's Normal University and Fu Jen Catholic University were successively merged into Beijing Normal University. By 2022, Beijing Normal University will be ranked17 in China University of Soft Science 2022; [3] In 2023, QS World University ranked 262nd.
