University campus environment
1. Campus distribution: The main campus is located in Hohhot, with two campuses and a part of the Art College, which are divided into a north campus and a south campus. Among them, the North Campus is located in Saihan District, which is the earliest campus of Inner Mongolia University. At first, all the universities were here. Now, in addition to Communications College, Mongolian College and Science College are in the north campus, as well as administrative building, kindergarten, family area, canteen, Aodu Hotel, Taoli Lake Hotel, Taoli Lake, student dormitory, international student dormitory, bronze statue of Genghis Khan and its affiliated square, playground, etc.
2. Li Tao Lake: There is a scenic spot on campus called Li Tao Lake, which is a landmark scenic spot in Inner Mongolia, just like the unnamed lake is to Peking University. There are some main buildings of Inner Mongolia University along Litao Lake. There is a newly-built eleven-story dome yurt comprehensive teaching building in the southeast. There are modern libraries and computer buildings in the north, and large cultural and sports museums in universities all over the country in the west.
3. Library: It is divided into two libraries: North and South. North Library covers an area of 16 170 square meters, with nearly 1526 reading seats, 20 reading rooms for teachers and students, and 3 electronic audio-visual reading rooms. The South Zone Pavilion covers an area of 28,000 square meters, and the new pavilion integrates library collection, reading, exhibition and office functions. The library of Inner Mongolia University has become one of the largest document information centers in the autonomous region, with the richest document resources and the highest level of modern service, which is most favored and welcomed by readers.
