Sichuan International Studies University, referred to as "Chuanwai", is located in Shapingba District, Chongqing. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it is a full-time college affiliated to Chongqing Municipal People's Government. It is one of the earliest four foreign language colleges established in China.

The school has a multi-level system of full-time undergraduate, master and doctoral education, 22 teaching units, 1 affiliated middle school and 1 affiliated primary school. The school offers 47 undergraduate majors, including 24 foreign languages majors (22 foreign languages), and recruits undergraduates from 29 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. At present, there are more than 0.5 million full-time students/kloc-0. The employment rate of undergraduate and graduate students has always remained above 90%.

Scientific research:

The school has three provincial key research bases of humanities and social sciences, three national and regional research cultivation/filing bases of the Ministry of Education, and two Chongqing 20 1 1 collaborative innovation centers. Foreign Languages, the school magazine, is a national foreign language core periodical in China, and English Studies is the collection resource of CSSCI.

The school has set up applied research platforms such as BRICS Research Institute, Chongqing International Strategy Research Institute, Contemporary International Discourse System Research Institute, Chongqing International Education Development Research Center and Chongqing Education Rule of Law Research Center, which have produced a number of valuable and highly demonstrative research results.
