1 School Introduction

Xiamen University was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China, and one of the earliest universities in China to recruit graduate students. Xiamen University Malaysian Branch was established. It became the first university in China to build an independent campus overseas. Its early buildings were selected as national key cultural relics protection units and the first batch of 20th century architectural heritages in China, and it was praised as "the strong in the south" and "the most beautiful university in China".

As of April 2023, the school has established Siming Campus, Zhangzhou Campus, Xiang 'an Campus and Malaysia Campus; There are graduate schools, 6 departments, 34 colleges (directly affiliated departments and directly affiliated centers) and 17 research institutes; There are nearly 3,000 full-time teachers and more than 45,000 students in the school, including 2 1.00 undergraduates, 0/.90 postgraduates and 5,000 doctoral students.

3. Teaching construction

By April, 2022, eight disciplines of Xiamen University had been selected into the 2.0 Base of the Top-notch Student Training Program of the Ministry of Education, and 1 1 major (13 Project) had been selected into the excellent talents education training program of the Ministry of Education. 44 majors were selected as national first-class professional construction sites; 44 courses were selected into the first batch of first-class undergraduate courses in China.

The school was selected as the demonstration center of curriculum ideological and political education of the Ministry of Education, and two courses were selected as the demonstration courses of curriculum ideological and political education of the Ministry of Education. There are 6 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 3 national virtual simulation experimental teaching centers, 1 national clinical teaching and training demonstration centers, and 3 national off-campus practical education bases for college students.
