Seven majors were selected into the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, namely chemical engineering and technology, biological engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, process equipment and control engineering, polymer materials and engineering, automation and environmental engineering. Here I mainly introduce chemical industry and technology and its automation.

The specialty of chemical engineering and technology in East China University of Science and Technology is well-known at home and abroad for its long history, rigorous academic attitude and outstanding achievements. In 2007, it was included in the national teaching team of higher education quality engineering and the construction point of first-class characteristic specialty of higher education quality engineering. In 2008, it passed the professional certification of engineering education of the Ministry of Education, and 20 10 was selected as the first batch of pilot majors in the "Excellent Engineer Training Program" of the Ministry of Education. 20 12 was selected as the first batch of "Professional Comprehensive Reform Pilot" by the Ministry of Education, and 20 14 passed the ABET professional certification in the United States, making it the first major in China to pass the ABET international certification. Relying on superior disciplines, it has trained a large number of automatic control engineering and technical personnel with solid basic theory and strong innovation and practice ability. It is a leading domestic and internationally renowned talent training and scientific and technological innovation base in petrochemical automation field. Graduates mainly go to: petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, automobile, rail transit, electronic information and other departments to engage in the design and research of automation systems and devices; IT and Internet industries are engaged in the development and technical support of related products or software; Production process control and management of large and medium-sized state-owned and foreign-funded enterprises.
