China Academy of Social Sciences is a ministerial university. According to official website of China Academy of Social Sciences, China Academy of Social Sciences is a directly affiliated institution of the State Council, a Marxist theoretical position, a think tank serving the decision-making of the CPC Central Committee and the state, the highest academic institution of philosophy and social sciences research in China, and the national comprehensive research center of philosophy and social sciences, with ministerial status. China Academy of Social Sciences was established in May, 20 17. It is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education and affiliated to China Academy of Social Sciences. The predecessor of China Academy of Social Sciences is the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The motto of China Academy of Social Sciences is "studious, thoughtful, discerning and pragmatic".
