Anhui University of Science and Technology, founded in 1945, is the first engineering university in Anhui Province and one of the first two universities in China to train mining talents. 1955 was upgraded from Huainan Coal Mine Institute to Hefei Mining Institute, and 1958 was renamed Hefei University of Technology. 197 1 The former department of Hefei Institute of Mining and Technology and some teachers of basic courses moved back to Huainan to establish Huainan Coal Institute. Later, the former East China Coal Medical College and Huainan Chemical School merged one after another after Huainan Mining Institute and Huainan Institute of Technology. During the period of 1998, the school was transferred from the Ministry of Coal Industry to Anhui Province, and the management system of "combining the central and local governments and giving priority to local management" was implemented. In 2002, it was renamed Anhui University of Science and Technology. After 70 years of construction and development, the school has formed a distinctive school-running feature and has become an important base for local and industry personnel training, scientific and technological innovation, social service and cultural heritage.
