Brief Introduction of School of Resources and Safety Engineering, Central South University
The School of Resources and Safety Engineering of Central South University has three undergraduate majors: mining engineering, safety engineering and urban underground space engineering. Two first-class disciplines, namely, doctoral and master's degree disciplines, geotechnical engineering, engineering mechanics, structural engineering, underground space engineering, resources and environmental economics; And three Post-Doctoral Research Center of mining engineering, mechanics, safety science and engineering. It has three national key disciplines of mining engineering, safety technology and engineering, geotechnical engineering and the first-class discipline of mining engineering, two first-class disciplines of safety science and engineering and mechanics in Hunan Province, and two national specialties of safety engineering and mining engineering. It is the supporting unit of Hunan Key Laboratory of Deep Metal Mineral Development and Disaster Control of Central South University, National Metal Mine Safety Science and Technology Research Center of Central South University, Central South University Safety Training Center (the first-class qualification of national safety production training) and Hunan Mine Filling Technology and Equipment Engineering Center. The scale of running a school is about undergraduate 1200 students, about 500 doctoral and master students, and about 20 postdoctoral researchers.
