Tsinghua School, the predecessor of the school, was founded in 19 1 1. The name of "Tsinghua" originated from the place name of the school site "Tsinghua Campus", which was a preparatory school for studying in the United States founded by the government in the late Qing Dynasty. 19 12 was renamed Tsinghua school. 1928 changed its name to National Tsinghua University.
