Medical College of Qingdao University is located in the center of Qingdao, a beautiful coastal open city in China. It is one of the first medical colleges in the State Council to approve the granting of master's degree. Founded in 1946, the original name was "National Medical College of Shandong University", and 1956, the medical college became "Qingdao Medical College" independently. 1993, in order to meet the needs of the modernization of the country and Qingdao, it was merged into Qingdao University and renamed as "Medical College of Qingdao University".

The college adheres to the teaching-centered concept, attaches importance to teaching quality and school-running efficiency, and vigorously develops scientific research. At present, it has 1 national key discipline (ophthalmology), 1 national key cultivation discipline (physiology), 5 key disciplines in the 12th Five-Year Plan of Shandong Province, 15 provincial key laboratories and 10 more research institutions.
