According to the plan released by Xiangjiang Science and Technology Innovation City on April 9, 2022, there will be 10 universities and related research institutes in this area, among which Hunan University is one of the key universities introduced in this area. Hunan University has not officially announced its relocation to Ningxiang, but just announced its relocation to Xiangjiang Science and Technology Innovation City.
