Is it better to transfer college students' hukou to the university or not?
According to the current regulations, every student admitted to a university can move his/her registered permanent residence from home to school at the beginning of his/her enrollment. The transfer of this account is voluntary, and students can choose whether to move or not. Students with the school's hukou will either settle in the place where their employment unit is located according to the school's "dispatch" after completing their studies; Either they are unemployed and their registered permanent residence is returned to their original place.

Generally, there are three conveniences after the registered permanent residence moves into the school:

1. It's very convenient to find a part-time job, a job and take an examination of local civil servants. Some employers require graduates to have local hukou, especially those who are employed in central cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. Whether they have a local or local hukou is often regarded as a competitive advantage. But in the final analysis, the key depends on the conditions and ability of graduates to develop in the city where the school is located in the future. If you are strong, you might as well move in.

2. It is very convenient to handle personal documents in time, such as the replacement of lost documents such as ID cards and the handling of visas and passports for going abroad, which saves the pain of running around between many colleges and students. Another example: you don't need to apply for a temporary residence permit to get a driver's license.

3. After graduation, you can keep your personal files in the local provincial personnel department, so that you can enjoy some supporting services in the city. If it is convenient to buy a house in the university, the procedure should be simpler accordingly.

It should be noted that even if freshmen move their hukou to colleges and universities, it is only a collective hukou. For graduates who have not found an employment unit when they leave school, I require their household registration personnel files to stay in the school and go through the corresponding application procedures. According to the policy, their household registration relationship can be kept free of charge by the school for a certain period of time (usually two years). During the two-year job search period, graduates have found employment units, and the local graduate employment authorities have approved and agreed to be responsible for managing their files and household registration. After signing a formal and effective agreement, graduates can go through the dispatch formalities with their registration cards. After two years, the job is still not settled, and the school will inform the graduates to move back to their registered permanent residence and their registered permanent residence.

There are several reasons not to migrate your account:

1. When graduates can't find a job, they usually have a prescribed time limit to keep their personnel files with the school or the local graduate personnel department (the latter is charged). When the deadline comes, they can't find a job in the university, but they still have to go back to their hometown. If graduates consider going back to their hometown for business development in the future, there is no need to toss.

2. For freshmen from rural areas, it is easy to move their hukou to colleges and universities, but it is relatively difficult to move back to rural hukou in the future. According to the current local household registration policy, they can move back to their original places, but they are no longer settled in the original rural hukou, but in the urban hukou, which means that once the rural hukou moves out, it is difficult to move back, so it is difficult to enjoy the distribution right of farmers' corresponding contracted land income in the future after the rural hukou moves out (it is understood that the income of some rural collectives in economically developed areas can reach tens of thousands per capita). Even the rural areas in underdeveloped areas have at least actually played a role in social security, which is also a valuable wealth resource for rural people, so it is still not necessary.

3. Some freshmen can enjoy certain subsidies and preferential treatment according to the corresponding government policies. For example, poor students and directional students from western and remote provinces have moderate preferential policies in terms of living allowance and future salary, and some of them can be used as reserve cadres of local governments at all levels after returning to their original places for directional employment. Considering your own ambition and development, it is better not to move. The state and local regulations do not require moving accounts when entering school, such as directional enrollment in contiguous poverty-stricken areas.
