The evolution of apple
The evolution of wild apples in Xinjiang originated from the primitive plants of Malus in China. It is scientifically speculated that many years ago, there was a wild species of Malus distributed in the central and western regions of China. The seeds of this wild species were brought to Tianshan Mountains by birds, and the "Xinjiang Wild Apple" population was formed in the case of geographical isolation.
Xinjiang wild apple gradually domesticated into an ancient cultivated apple variety in the local area, and later this cultivated apple spread to Europe along the Silk Road.
The Xinjiang wild apple in Europe was genetically fused with the local forest apple in Europe, and the pulp of the forest apple was hard. After the integration of the two, the early "western apple" was gradually born. After grafting and breeding by the ancients, western apples have evolved into various varieties and gradually spread all over the world, becoming our common apples at present.
