English Level 1: Public English, the full name of PETS, is a national English proficiency test system designed and responsible by the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, with five levels. That is, PETS 1-5, PETS 1, public English level, the most elementary. It is also the lowest level, generally simple English, with a vocabulary of about 1000, a junior high school level, and generally simple everyday and communicative terms.
CET-4 and CET-6: CET-4 and CET-6 are aimed at college students, including master's and doctoral students. Only those who have a student status can apply for CET-4 and CET-6, and they can't take the exam again after graduation, so there is a certain time limit for applying for CET-4 and CET-6. The public English proficiency test is nationwide, and there are no restrictions on identity and occupation. You can take any level and cross-level exams. But on one condition, students in compulsory education stage will not be admitted.
In other words, if you are a social group, you can choose to apply for public English. There are five grades to apply for, and you can also apply across grades. And if you are a college student, you can choose to apply for CET4 and CET6. Whether you have obtained a public English certificate or a CET-4 or CET-6 certificate, you are good at work. Now most companies need talents with certain English ability.
