There are 36 classes in Daxian No.4 Middle School in Dazhou, with more than 2,500 senior and junior high school students and 56 faculty members/kloc-0, including 25 full-time teachers/kloc-0, 26 senior teachers, 54 intermediate teachers, 3 provincial backbone teachers/kloc-0, and 4 city and county leaders.

In August 2007, the school was handed over to the Daxian People's Government for management and became a municipal model high school directly under the Daxian Education Bureau.
In August 2008, with the approval of the Provincial Department of Education, it was renamed Sichuan Daxian No.4 Middle School.
