Sun Yat-sen University is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Guangdong Province. Ranked in the first batch of national "double-class" A-level, "985 Project" and "21Project", the school was selected as "Everest Plan" and "1Project".
The school was founded on 1924. After years of development, it has become a domestic first-class and internationally renowned modern comprehensive university, covering literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, teaching, science, medicine, engineering, agriculture, art and other disciplines. The postgraduate education of Sun Yat-sen University began in the 1920s, and the Graduate School was formally established in 1935, which was the earliest institution in China.
Since the reform and opening up, Sun Yat-sen University is one of the earliest universities in China to resume postgraduate education. 1986 Sun Yat-sen University was officially established as a graduate school with the approval of the State Council. 20061October 26th, after the merger of Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen Medical University, the discipline system of postgraduate education in New Sun Yat-sen University was more perfect.
At present, the Graduate School of Sun Yat-sen University is located at No.35, Xingang West Road, Guangzhou. Sun Yat-sen University has three campuses, namely Guangzhou Campus, Zhuhai Campus and Shenzhen Campus, and five campuses. Guangzhou campus includes three campuses: south campus, north campus and east campus. The Graduate School of Sun Yat-sen University is located in the south campus of Guangzhou campus.
