Zhengzhou University School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering (formerly Zhengzhou University Department of Chemistry) was founded in 1956. For a long time, under the guidance, care and support of the Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Henan provincial government and the school, and through the joint efforts of several generations, the college has made outstanding achievements in personnel training, scientific research and social services, and has become the cradle for training first-class chemical talents.

There are currently 0/94 faculty members/kloc, 5 academicians (including 3 double-hired academicians), 2 provincial-level distinguished professor, 59 provincial-level famous teachers 1 person, 59 professors, 40 associate professors, 0/5 senior experimenters, engineers 148 full-time teachers, and teachers/doctors. The college has a national training base for basic scientific research and teaching talents, a national demonstration center for chemical experiment teaching, a national specialty, a national teaching team, a national excellent resource course (instrumental analysis), a national bilingual teaching demonstration course, a national key (cultivating) discipline (organic chemistry) and a national advanced class group. The college has a first-class doctoral program in chemistry, a first-class master program in chemistry and a postdoctoral mobile station in chemistry. It also has four doctoral programs in two disciplines in applied chemistry, industrial catalysis, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology and biochemistry, and five master programs in two disciplines in applied chemistry, industrial catalysis, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis and environmental science. The first-class discipline of chemistry, medicinal chemistry and industrial catalysis are the key disciplines in Henan Province.

The college has "Henan Key Laboratory of Chemical Biology and Organic Chemistry", "Henan Key Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Low Carbon Technology", and? Henan Phosphorus Chemical Technology Research Center, Henan International Joint Laboratory of Organophosphorus Functional Molecules, Henan International Joint Laboratory of Energy and Environment, and Henan Key Laboratory of Applied Chemistry in Universities. In the past three years, he has undertaken national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and horizontal projects 1 10, won three provincial and ministerial awards, authorized more than 20 invention patents, and published more than 760 papers, including 625 articles in SCI, EI and SCIE. In the past three years, it has received 55 million yuan for scientific research.

The college has organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental science, analytical testing center and experimental teaching center. Up to now, it has trained more than 9,000 undergraduates, 2,600 master students, 280 doctoral students and 70 postdoctoral students for the country. At present, there are 68 undergraduate students11person, 67 graduate students1person, 94 doctoral students and 5 postdoctoral students1person.
