The graduate students majoring in literature in Shihai University have the above directions, and there is also a subject teaching (Chinese), which is not specialized in subject teaching.
There are four examination subjects, namely, ideological and political theory, English I, major I and major II.
(Among them, major one and major two have different examination subjects according to different directions. ) It is divided into major I (literary theory and critical writing) {China modern and contemporary literature, China ancient literature, comparative literature and world literature, literature and art} major I (linguistic theory and critical writing) {linguistics and applied linguistics, Chinese language and literature} major II (Chinese and foreign literature history) {China modern and contemporary literature, China ancient literature, comparative literature and world literature, literature and art} major II China linguistics (including ancient Chinese and modern Chinese).
