There are six postgraduate majors in Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, namely: sports art and aesthetics, exchange and dissemination of Chinese and foreign ceramic culture, ceramic culture research institute, ceramic culture and design, ancient ceramic research, and history of science and technology.

Jingdezhen Ceramic University is a multi-disciplinary undergraduate college named after ceramics in China. It is one of the 29 independent undergraduate art colleges in China, and it is also one of the first batch of 94 colleges and universities that all have the qualifications to recruit foreign students who enjoy China government scholarships to pursue master's and bachelor's degrees. Now it has developed into an important base for the exchange of ceramic culture and art, the cultivation of ceramic talents and scientific and technological innovation in China and even the world.

The school's predecessor was China Ceramic School founded by 19 10; 1947, Jiang established a junior college system.
