Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the key universities in Henan Province. It is a university jointly established by the Henan provincial government and the provincial offices (bureaus) of state administration of traditional chinese medicine. It is also one of the earliest institutions of higher learning of traditional Chinese medicine in China. It is a university with basic capacity-building projects in central and western universities, and a university with scholarship students trained by the Ministry of Education and the China Municipal Government. The school is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, and was founded in 1958. Its predecessor was Henan Traditional Chinese Medicine School, which was founded in 1953.

As of June 20 14, Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine has four campuses, namely Longzihu Campus, Dongming Road Campus, Renmin Road Campus and Dongfeng Road Campus, covering an area of 1579.76 mu. The school has many disciplines such as medicine, science, management, engineering and literature, covering undergraduate, postgraduate (doctor, master), international students and continuing education. There are 903 full-time teachers in the secondary college 13 directly under the school, including 47 masters tutors/KLOC-0 and 47 doctoral tutors, and more than 6000 full-time students/KLOC-0 are enrolled.
