Henan University is a book. Henan University is a national "double first-class" university and a provincial university. Founded in 19 12, formerly known as Henan Preparatory School for Studying in Europe and America. It was built on the former site of Henan Gongyuan, where the imperial examination in China ended. The last two national examinations were held in 1903 and 1904 respectively, and the imperial examination system for thousands of years came to an end here.

Henan University mainly has three campuses: Kaifeng Minglun Campus, Jin Ming Campus and Zhengzhou Longzihu Campus, covering a total area of more than 5,500 mu. Among them, the modern buildings in Minglun Campus are national key cultural relics protection units.

Henan University is a comprehensive university with 12 disciplines such as literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, science, engineering, medicine, agriculture, teaching and arts. At present, the school has 37 colleges (teaching and research sections), 98 undergraduate majors, 43 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees and 20 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, and 6544. Biology was selected as a national first-class construction discipline, and five disciplines, including chemistry, materials science, clinical medicine, engineering, botany and zoology, entered the top of ESI world rankings 1%.
