Brief introduction of Southwest University

Southwest University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chongqing Municipality. It is the first batch of "double first-class" universities, "2 1 1 engineering" and "985 engineering advantage discipline innovation platform" in China. Southwest University has two campuses, Beibei and Rongchang. The main school is located in Beibei District, Chongqing, at the foot of Jinyun Mountain and beside Jialing River, covering an area of about 8,295 mu, with a school building area of 654.38+0.87 million square meters and a green space rate of 40%.

Southwest University currently has 43 teaching units with 102 undergraduate majors, including 39 national first-class undergraduate majors, 8 Chongqing first-class undergraduate majors and 12 disciplines, including 3 national key disciplines, 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines, 29 first-class discipline doctoral degree authorization points and 54 first-class discipline master degrees.
