During the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a famous politician named Sun Jing. When he was young, he was very studious and often kept reading books behind closed doors. Reading books from morning till night every day, often forgetting to eat and sleep. After watching for a long time, I was so tired that I dozed off. Afraid of affecting his study, he came up with a special method. In ancient times, men had long hair. He found a rope with one end firmly tied to the beam and the other end tied to his hair. When he dozes off, as soon as his head is lowered, the rope will hold his hair and hurt his scalp, and he will wake up immediately and continue his study. This is the story of Sun Jing's hanging beam.
2, awl thorn stock
During the Warring States Period, there was a man named Su Qin, who was a famous politician. When Su Qin was young, because of his lack of knowledge, he went to many places to do things, but he was not taken seriously. After returning home, his family was also very cold and looked down on him. This is a great stimulus to him. So, he made up his mind to study hard. He often studies late into the night. In order not to doze off, he also figured out a way to prepare the awl. When he dozes off, he will stab himself in the thigh with an awl. In this way, I suddenly felt pain, woke up by myself, and then insisted on reading. This made Su Qin's story of "stabbing stocks".
3. Fireflies reflect the snow
Che Yin loves studying very much, but because his family is poor, he has no extra money to buy lamp oil for studying at night. Therefore, he can only recite poems during the day. One night in summer, Che Yin was reciting an article in the yard when he suddenly saw many fireflies. The flashing lights look dazzling in the dark. So, he found a white silk bag, then caught dozens of fireflies and put them in it, then tied the bag mouth and hung it up. Although it is not very bright, it can barely be used for reading. From then on, as long as there are fireflies, he will catch some to use as lights. Thanks to his hard work, he finally made a difference.
The same is true of Sun Kang, who was also in the Jin Dynasty. Because there is no money to buy lamp oil, I can't read at night, so I can only go to bed early every day. One night in the middle of the night, he woke up from his sleep, turned his head out of the window and found a ray of light in the window. It turned out to be a reflection of heavy snow, which can be used for reading. So he was so tired that he immediately got dressed, took out his book and went outside. The snow reflected on the wide earth is much brighter than the snow in the room. Sun Kang ignored the cold and immediately read a book. His hands and feet were frozen stiff, so he got up and ran, rubbing his fingers at the same time. From then on, every snowy night, he never missed this good opportunity and studied tirelessly.
4. Smell the chicken dancing
Zu Ti of Jin Dynasty was a naughty boy when he was a child, and he didn't like reading. As he grew older, he gradually realized his lack of knowledge and felt that he could not serve his country without studying, so he began to study hard. Zu Ti and his childhood friend Liu Kun served as the main book of Sizhou. They often lie in the same bed, sleep under the same quilt, and have the same lofty ideal: making contributions, reviving the state of Jin and becoming a pillar of the country. One night in the middle of the night, Zu Ti heard a cock crow in his sleep. He kicked Liu Kun awake and said to him, "Everyone else thinks it's unlucky to hear a rooster crow in the middle of the night. I don't think so. How about we get up and practice swords when we hear chickens crow in the future? " Liu Kun readily agreed.
So they get up every day after the cock crows to practice sword, spring comes to winter, and cold comes to summer, without interruption. Many things happen. After a long and arduous study and training, I finally became an all-rounder who can be literate and martial. They can not only write good articles, but also lead troops to win the battle. Zu Ti was named General Zhenxi, realizing his desire to serve the country. Liu Kun became the commander-in-chief in charge of military affairs in Hebei and Youzhou, and also gave full play to his literary talent and military talent.
5, iron pestle into a needle
Li Bai, a great poet in Tang Dynasty, was very naughty when he was a child. He doesn't like reading, often plays truant and wanders in the street. One day, while the teacher was away, Li Bai sneaked out of the door again, looked around in the street and unconsciously arrived outside the city. Bathed in the warm sunshine, listening to the cheerful songs of birds and smelling the flowers swaying in the wind, Li Bai was intoxicated: how boring it is to stay indoors and study in such good weather. Walking, he came to the river at the foot of the mountain. At the door of a shabby hut, he saw a white-haired old woman grinding an iron pestle as thick as a stick on a stone. Li Bai wondered and asked:
"Old woman, why are you grinding the iron pestle?"
"I want to grind this iron pestle into an embroidery needle." The old woman looked up, smiled at Li Bai, and then lowered her head to continue grinding.
"But, the iron pestle is so thick, when can it be ground into a fine embroidery needle?"
The old woman asked Li Bai, "A drop of water can pierce a stone, but a fool can move a mountain. Why can't an iron pestle be ground into an embroidery needle?"
"But, you are so old?"
"As long as I work harder than others, there is nothing I can't do."
Li Bai was ashamed of what the old woman said. He turned and ran back to school. From then on, he kept in mind the truth that "as long as the kung fu is deep, the iron pestle is ground into a needle", studied hard and finally became an immortal poet.
