The middle school affiliated to Guangzhou Sun Yat-sen University was founded in 1924, which has the same glorious historical tradition as Sun Yat-sen University. Later, due to historical changes, it became the predecessor of famous schools in South China-Shi Sheng and Washington. In September, 1993 was reopened as a new part of Sun Yat-sen University.
