Professional title examination
There is no qualification examination when our school registers on site. The qualification examination is conducted before the second-stage examination (20 10 12), and the second-stage examination is the preliminary examination of the college and the re-examination of the graduate school of South China University of Technology.
Review materials:
1. The qualification examination form printed on-site registration shall be stamped by the personnel department (or file management department, the same below) of the candidate's unit, and the contents in the qualification examination form shall be reviewed and confirmed, and the recommendation opinions shall be filled in.
2. Candidate's valid identity certificate, undergraduate diploma and bachelor's degree certificate (original and photocopy). Candidates who hold overseas academic qualifications or degrees must be certified by the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education, and submit the certification report at the time of qualification examination.
Candidates who do not meet the registration requirements or provide false information will be disqualified from the second stage examination at their own risk.
VI. Examination Methods and Subjects
Examination subjects: Postgraduate Entrance Examination (GCT for short), professional foundation and professional integration (interview). The examination method adopts two-stage examination method.
The first stage: all candidates take the "GCT" exam organized by the whole country (the validity period of the "GCT" score is tentatively set at two years). This stage mainly tests the comprehensive quality of candidates. The examination time is 20 10 10 (see the admission ticket for details). The GCT test paper consists of four parts: language expression ability test, mathematical basic ability test, logical reasoning ability test and foreign language (English, Russian, German, Japanese) application ability test (candidates who apply for our school can only take English test). The full mark of GCT paper is 400, each part accounts for 100, and the examination time is 3 hours, each part is 45 minutes. The syllabus of GCT is "Guide to Entrance Examination for Postgraduates" (published by Science and Technology Literature Publishing House).
The second stage: candidates who have passed the qualification examination and reached the "GCT" score line stipulated by our school will take the professional basic course examination and professional comprehensive examination organized by our school. The examination time of "Professional Basic Course" is 3 hours, and the full mark is 100. The content of the examination is determined according to the engineering field (see Annex I for the content of professional basic courses). The examination time of professional basic courses is arranged in 65438+February, and the examination place is shown in the admission ticket for the second stage examination. Professional comprehensive examination takes the form of interview, which is generally conducted after the professional basic course examination. Please pay attention to the news published on the website of the professional degree office of the graduate school of our school in early February.
Professional comprehensive examination is one of the important links for on-the-job students to study for the entrance examination of master of engineering. Focus on the comprehensive application ability of candidates' professional knowledge and the wide coverage of related knowledge, the accumulated engineering practical experience, and the ability to analyze and solve practical problems encountered in engineering, production and management. Evaluate the potential qualities of candidates engaged in engineering technology or engineering management, such as clear thinking, quick response, correct application principle, reasonable method and clear expression; Evaluate candidates' work experience and performance.
Seven, enrollment principles and enrollment scale
1. The admission of on-the-job personnel to master of engineering is organized by our school.
2. Our school independently determines the admission scores, and selects the best candidates according to their GCT scores, professional basic course scores and professional comprehensive examination scores.
3. The number of people who have graduated from the National Education University but have not obtained a bachelor's degree shall not exceed 10% of the total enrollment of our school in that year.
4.20 10 The enrollment scale of our school is self-determined.
Eight, training methods
1. Take the learning mode of entering the school and not leaving the post. It usually takes three years to complete the study and thesis work of the whole master of engineering course. The longest period from admission to obtaining a master's degree shall not exceed five years. The credit system is implemented in the course study, and students can get credits for this course if they pass the course examination prescribed by the school and pass the examination results. The teaching form is mainly face-to-face, and the time is generally arranged on Saturday and Sunday.
2. During the study period, the household registration and personnel relations will not be transferred. The salary, welfare and medical expenses during the study period shall be borne by the unit where the engineering master graduate students work.
3. Training fee: 1 year, totaling 30,000 yuan.
Nine. Degree conferring
The thesis is jointly directed by school tutors and personnel with senior titles in industrial and mining enterprises or engineering departments, and the topic comes directly from the project or production practice of the unit. Those who have completed the required credits, passed the course examination and thesis defense, and passed the examination by academic degree evaluation committee of South China University of Technology, will be awarded a master's degree in engineering and a master's degree certificate uniformly printed by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee.
X. Methods and admission principles for candidates with valid GCT scores in 2009 to sign up for the second round examination of master of engineering in our school.
In 2009, our school accepted all the candidates who were not admitted by GCT, and the entrance qualification examination for master of engineering was organized by the whole country.
1. Application criteria
(1) Candidates who obtained their bachelor's degree before July 3, 20071.
(2) Only applications from other fields except project management are accepted, with GCT total score not less than 180 and single subject score not less than 20.
(3) Candidates who have not been admitted to the school in 2009 or who have been admitted but have gone through the formalities of dropping out of school (drop-out candidates must also provide the drop-out certificate issued by the admitted school in 2009).
2. Application method
All candidates who meet the above conditions and meet the requirements for applying for the master of engineering can apply for the basic professional subjects and comprehensive professional examinations organized by our school independently, without online registration and on-site registration.
Candidates are requested to download the Application Form for Admission of 2009 "GCT" Candidates in South China University of Technology to the Second Stage Examination of Master of Engineering from the website download center of our graduate school (/zyxw/) after September, fill it in truthfully, and send it to the graduate school of South China University of Technology before June 30th 10 (if admission is not accepted after the deadline), together with a copy of undergraduate diploma, a copy of degree certificate and a copy of ID card.
The second-stage examination organized by our school will be held in June 5438+February. For the examination subjects and bibliography of professional basic courses, please refer to Annexes I and II of the Admissions Guide. 3. Access principle
(1) Candidates are selected according to their GCT scores, the second-stage professional basic course examination and comprehensive examination (interview) results.
(2) Such candidates are not allowed to apply for other schools at the same time as applying for our school, otherwise our school will not accept them in the end.
(3) Candidates who provide false certification materials or conceal the real situation during the registration process will not be accepted normally in the end, and the responsibility will be borne by the candidates themselves.
