Baoji University of Arts and Sciences is located in Baoji. Xi 'an Aviation College, located in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province, is a full-time general institution of higher learning focusing on engineering and developing in many disciplines.
The school was founded in 1955, formerly known as Xi 'an Aviation Industry School, and was affiliated to the former Ministry of Aviation Industry. 1957 merged with Lanzhou aviation industry school; 1960, upgraded to junior college, renamed Xi 'an Institute of Aviation Industry; 1985 was upgraded to Xi' an institute of aviation industry and technology with the approval of the former state education commission; 1993 changed its name to Xi 'an Institute of Aviation Technology.
1999 was placed under the local government, under the people's government of Shaanxi Province, and built institutions for the central and local governments. In 20 12, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Xi 'an Aviation College.
