Unnc is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university in China approved by the Ministry of Education to introduce world-class universities. Co-founded by Nottingham University and Zhejiang Wanli College. The university is headed by Professor Zhao Wu Yang Fujia, former president of Nottingham University and academician of China Academy of Sciences, and Professor Nick Myers is the executive president.

Unnc, founded in 2004, is the first Sino-foreign cooperative university with independent legal personality and independent campus in China. ? At present, there are about 7,800 students in universities, including about 10% from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, from 75 countries and regions. The campus is located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, covering an area of 887 mu. ?

In 2009, unnc Sustainable Energy Technology Center Building won the American International Architecture Award. In the 20 19 ranking of the best universities in China released by the Department of Soft Science, unnc participated in the ranking for the first time, ranking 55th in China and 2nd in Zhejiang. In terms of paper quality, according to Scival's data, in 20 18 years, more than 72.7% of unnc's academic papers were published in cooperation with overseas universities, and 26.0% of the failed papers were cited by the top universities in the world 10%, slightly higher than the average level of 22.5% of the top universities in China.

At the same time, 47.8% of the papers are published in the top international journals 10%, which is higher than the average level of the top 39.2% university alliances in China.
