Extended data:

George Washington University (GWU or GW for short) is a famous private comprehensive university in the United States. The school was established on the basis of the first American President George Washington's hope to establish an authoritative national university, and his comrades-in-arms inherited his legacy.

Finally, President james monroe was persuaded to sign the congressional bill in 182 1, and a national institution of higher learning came into being in the District of Columbia. After nearly 200 years of wind and rain, the school has developed into a world-renowned comprehensive research university.

Fog Valley main campus is located in downtown Washington, DC, adjacent to the State Council, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and only a few blocks away from the White House and the Mount Vernon and Virginia campuses.

Since its establishment, the school has continuously injected new blood into these important international organizations and government agencies, so it is often called the "cradle of politicians". Its excellent academic reputation and superior geographical location give students ample internship and work opportunities.
