3. Reading comprehension
The reading comprehension part includes choosing words to fill in the blanks, reading long and reading carefully, and testing students' reading comprehension ability at different levels, including understanding the general idea and important details of a chapter or paragraph, comprehensive analysis, guessing and judging, and guessing the meaning of a word according to the context.
The scores of this part are: fill in the blanks with words 5%, long reading 10%, and close reading 20%.
1) Choose words to fill in the blanks:
Choosing words to fill in the blanks requires candidates to read a short passage with several words deleted, and then choose the correct words from the given options to fill in the blanks, so that the short passage can be restored. Chapter length is 250-300 words.
2) Long reading:
The information contained in each sentence comes from a paragraph in the text, and candidates are required to find a paragraph that matches the information contained in each sentence. Some paragraphs may correspond to two questions, and some paragraphs may not correspond to any questions. It is 1 long article, with a total length of about 1200 words. Reading speed level 6 is about 120 words per minute. There are 10 sentences in this chapter, and each sentence has a question.

For the comprehension test of two short passages, candidates are required to choose the best answer from the four options of each question according to their own understanding of the articles. Each article is 400-450 words long.
4. Translation
The translation topic is Chinese-English translation of paragraphs. Test the ability to express the information carried by Chinese in English; Translation involves the historical, cultural, economic and social development of China. The length of the sixth paragraph is 180-200 words. The score is 15%.
