Disputes over the relocation of the College of Food Science of Sichuan Agricultural University.
In 1950s, in order to develop remote areas, the authorities moved the Agricultural College of Sichuan University to Ya 'an on the border of Sichuan and Tibet, which undoubtedly brought more difficulties to the development of the school. However, the older generation of Sichuan farmers overcame difficulties in Ya 'an and made some achievements, making outstanding contributions to the local economic construction and the development of agricultural technology.

Due to the increasingly obvious contradiction of regional limitations, the management of farmers in Sichuan has made little achievements, and the bottleneck of talent training in schools has become prominent. In order to get more development opportunities, some people have begun to propose moving back to Chengdu. The school had previously established a rice research institute in Chengdu. 1989, proposed to merge Wenjiang Agricultural School (now Chengdu Vocational College of Agricultural Science and Technology), which is also in Wenjiang, but failed. In 2005, more than 600 mu of land was expropriated from the Rice Research Institute to build new graduate schools and research institutes, and the scientific research strength of the school has begun to shift to Chengdu. Whether all undergraduate education will be moved from Ya 'an to Chengdu in the future remains to be seriously considered by school leaders.

The school has moved some colleges to Chengdu campus. October 20 10 is the opening day of Chengdu campus. The first batch of institutions that moved into Chengdu campus were Agricultural College and Landscape Architecture College. 20 1 1 In the first half of the year, 20 10 students from School of Economics and Management and Agricultural College moved to Chengdu Campus. 20 1 1 In the second half of the year, the College of Resources and Environment also moved into Chengdu Campus.

On the afternoon of August 29th, 2065438+02, Yuan, Minister of Logistics Management Department, introduced the construction of the second phase of Chengdu Campus. The construction of15000m2 Lin Xue building, 20000m2 sports building and more than 460 sets of elevator apartments for teachers is in full swing, and it is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of August 20 14. The next batch of students to settle in Chengdu campus is expected to be Forestry College, Horticulture College, Animal Science and Technology College and Animal Medical College.
