The school had previously established a rice research institute in Chengdu. 1989, proposed to merge Wenjiang Agricultural School (now Chengdu Vocational College of Agricultural Science and Technology), which is also in Wenjiang, but failed. In 2005, more than 600 mu of land was expropriated from the Rice Research Institute to build new graduate schools and research institutes, and the scientific research strength of the school has begun to shift to Chengdu. The construction of15000m2 Lin Xue building, 20000m2 sports building and more than 460 sets of elevator apartments for teachers is in full swing, and it is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of August 20 14.
