The Development Course of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Central South University
The predecessor of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Central South University can be traced back to the Department of Chemistry established in June19791/kloc-0, which is the first milestone in the development history of the school. At the beginning of its establishment, there were six teaching and research sections, including chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, structural chemistry and chemical engineering principles, which fully reflected the characteristics of thick foundation, wide caliber and great development potential. 1984 added applied chemistry specialty. 1994 metallurgical physical chemistry was separated from the chemistry department to establish the metallurgical physical chemistry research institute; 1988 the teaching and research section of chemical engineering principles was separated from the department of chemistry to establish the department of chemical engineering, 1994 the analysis room of the chemical composition center of the former school testing and analysis center was placed under the department of chemical engineering; 1994 In February, the Institute of New Technologies in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering was established. 1In July, 1999, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Central South University of Technology was established by the former Department of Chemistry, the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Institute of New Technologies of Chemical Engineering. In May 2002, the former School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Central South University of Technology, the former Chemistry Department of Hunan Medical University and the former Chemistry Department of Changsha Railway Institute were established. The establishment of the second milestone in the history of college development marks a new step in the college's construction and development, and it has become a comprehensive science and engineering college integrating teaching, scientific research, application development and personnel training.
