At present, there is no plan to "upgrade to one", because as early as 20 18, Guangdong Province implemented the batch reform of high-tech recruitment. No matter how ranked, Foshan Institute of Science and Technology and some established institutions are definitely not able to beat, and the school has always known this.
So the potential for upgrading to one is not great. Although there is great hope that Guangdong University of Science and Technology will be renamed Guangdong University of Science and Technology this year, it is only a trend. The possibility of upgrading to one is not high at present.
