Kanagawa University (Japanese Hiragana: かながわだぃがく; English: Kanagawa University, referred to as Shenda for short, is a famous comprehensive private university located in Yokohama. It was founded in 1928 by Tami Jisheng, an early politician in Showa.
Founded in Yokohama, based on an economic and trade school of Yokohama College, it was transformed into a new university of 1949 due to the educational system reform and developed into one of the few comprehensive universities in Japan.
