The education department did not say whether the Institute of Science and Technology for Disaster Prevention was one or two universities. It is just a folk saying that whether it is one or two universities depends on the enrollment batch of the province (city). (At present, the college entrance examination enrolls students by province. If a university enrolls students in a province for the first time, it is usually said to be a university. If it is the second batch of enrollment, it is usually said that it is two colleges and universities, and it is also counted as two colleges.
The Institute of Disaster Prevention Science and Technology, affiliated to China Earthquake Administration, is the only comprehensive full-time general institution of higher learning in China, which focuses on higher education in disaster prevention and mitigation and has complete disciplines.
