It can be seen that the number of people who take the college entrance examination every year is between 9 million and 6.5438+million, and the number of people admitted to universities is also stable at around 7 million.
Then look at the changes in the number of graduate students enrolled and enrolled. Therefore, the current number of college students generally presents two characteristics: one is that the number should not increase too much, because the number of undergraduate and junior college students has not increased every year, and the number of graduate students has been relatively stable. Therefore, the number of college students in China should be stable at 27 million and 28 million, and may decrease in the future.
The second is that it will become more and more difficult for graduate students to enter the university. Except for a small number of graduate students, there are more and more graduate students now, and even the number of graduate students has doubled in the last decade, but the enrollment has not increased much. On the one hand, because the employment situation is not good now, many college graduates choose to continue their studies. On the other hand, it is also related to the increasing demand for academic qualifications in the workplace. In a word, it is more difficult for graduate students to take the exam now than before.
In my experience, the same is true. Like my major, when 20 10 first entered school, the number of undergraduates increased several times, but in recent years, the number of undergraduates has been so large. On the one hand, the school does not have the conditions to increase the number of students, teachers and teaching funds. On the other hand, it is still the same thing that more people are recruited and so many work units have graduated.
Judging from the needs of university study, it is difficult for undergraduates to have a better job after graduation. Generally speaking, they need a graduate degree. Even in a good company, the future development is limited. Nine times out of ten, they have to go to on-the-job graduate school after work. And it is true that the demand for high-end talents in this major is too great, and many jobs are not for undergraduates.
So now the number of graduate students in our school has soared, and the students in our school may be ok. Students from other schools have to get more than 380 points or more than 400 points to enter the second interview, and the competition is really fierce.
In my opinion, the number of undergraduates/junior college students is actually close to saturation, and it is difficult to have a substantial increase in the future. The rest is to adjust the structure and improve the teaching quality, but the enrollment of graduate students is still a little too small. Universities should consider that the current economic transformation needs a large number of high-end talents and strengthen the construction of postgraduate education.
