The Institute of New Energy Utilization of Ocean Electric Power (hereinafter referred to as "Institute of Ocean Electric Power") relies on Qingdao Institute of Ocean Engineering of Tianjin University for construction and development. At present, a scientific research team headed by Professor Jia, winner of 100 excellent doctoral dissertations in China in 2004, winner of China Youth Science and Technology Award and outstanding talent of the Ministry of Education in the new century, has been formed, and graduates have been trained.

There are 6 graduate students, 5 of whom are studying. One of them got a study abroad fund from the Ministry of Education and went to Cardiff University to study for a doctorate. Haidian Institute actively innovated, independently researched and developed, and introduced technology for digestion and absorption, which had a far-reaching academic impact in related academic fields such as distributed energy, microgrid and comprehensive energy, and established a number of future-oriented new energy sources.

With the gradual establishment of the "Industry-University-Research" achievement transformation mechanism, Haidian Institute is committed to the transformation and application of many achievements in the fields of distributed energy, microgrid and comprehensive energy. Great progress has been made in the research and development of key technologies such as regional comprehensive energy planning and design technology, microgrid energy operation control technology, intelligent energy management control technology of park buildings, distributed energy transaction simulation technology oriented to energy Internet, and user-level power router equipment research and development.
