Beijing language and culture university (hereinafter referred to as "Northern Language and Culture University") is an institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It has been selected as a national high-level university construction graduate program, a featured key discipline program, a demonstration base for studying in China by the Ministry of Education, and a scholarship institution for international students in China to accept the China government.
Founded in 1962, it was named "Advanced Preparatory School for Foreign Students"; 1June, 964, it was named "Beijing Language Institute" with the approval of the State Council; /kloc-0 changed its name to "beijing language and culture university" in June 1996; In 2002, the name of the school was simplified to "Beijing Language and Culture University".
Beijing language and culture university is the only international university in China that focuses on teaching Chinese and China culture to foreign students in China, and is known as "Little United Nations". The school provides foreign language, Chinese, information science, economy, art and other professional education for foreign students in China, and undertakes the tasks of training Chinese teachers and foreign language training for preparatory students studying abroad.
