The Higher Education Quality Assurance Bureau also rated many disciplines of the school as "excellent".
OFSTED, an independent teaching quality evaluation agency, also rated the school of education as "excellent". The University of Chester has seven colleges: College of Arts and Media; College of Humanities; College of Applied and Health Sciences; School of Social Sciences; School of Health and Social Care; College of Education; Business administration and law school. All colleges offer undergraduate courses, lecture postgraduate courses and research postgraduate degree courses. The university's undergraduate curriculum innovation implements a work-based learning model, which enjoys a high reputation in the whole UK.
