August 1952, 1 Xinjiang Bayi Agricultural Reclamation College has attached great importance to cadre training since its establishment. Based on the urgent needs of the army reclamation troops, various departments have held different types of cadre training courses. The Department of Agricultural Economics held the third advanced training course for agricultural cadres on 1952- 1955, with 164 participants. 1963- 1965 held two training courses for county and regimental cadres, with 188 participants. Correspondence education is also prepared under the auspices of the Academic Affairs Office of 1955 College. According to the instruction spirit of the college leaders at that time and the teaching plan of agricultural economics secondary specialized courses in our college, the draft teaching plan of correspondence specialized courses was formulated. At the same time, under the guidance of the cadres of the Xinjiang Military Region Production and Construction Corps, the draft correspondence method and the enrollment office were drawn up.

1956 In September, the Correspondence Department was established under the instruction of the Production and Construction Corps of Xinjiang Military Region, led by the Technical Guidance Department of the College, headed by Comrade Tang Zhiyong, with staff responsible for the management of student status, the distribution of teaching materials and the delivery of homework. It also hosts correspondence learning internal publications, and the teaching work is arranged by the backbone teachers of each department. 1958 in the second half of the year, due to the domestic situation and conditions at that time, correspondence education was suspended.

1960 according to the spirit of the instructions for developing agriculture and food, submitted to the party committee and people's committee of the autonomous region for approval. In August of that year, correspondence education was resumed and a correspondence department was established, with Comrade Liu Bing as the director and Comrade Cao Fengde as the deputy director. Four staff members and six full-time teachers were responsible for correspondence teaching. Later, according to the instructions of the central government and the approval of the people's Committee of the autonomous region, the correspondence work was stopped on June 25 1962, and the correspondence department was cancelled. 1963, the school made a corresponding plan, but for some subjective and objective reasons, it was not put into practice. 1979 Vice President Zhang Zihou and Deputy Director Zhu Hailin of the Academic Affairs Office began to resume correspondence education. Approved by the people's government of the autonomous region and put on record by the Ministry of Education, Correspondence University of Xinjiang Bayi Agricultural Reclamation College was established, with Vice President Luo (later Party Secretary of the College) in charge of correspondence education. A correspondence department was established, with Comrade Jiang Xinghan as the director and Comrade Abilie as the deputy director. There are 12 staff in the office. Due to the difficulty of the school building, the communication work stopped. Only Bayi Agricultural Reclamation College continues to provide correspondence education with 358 students. Starting from 1980, according to the needs of social development, new correspondence students are recruited at all levels every year: on-the-job training, training courses for animal husbandry leading cadres at or above the county level; Correspondence classes, evening classes and specialized courses for cadres of adult higher education (academic education); There is a complete set of teaching management system for continuing education with new knowledge and skills, agronomists and updating classes for animal husbandry and veterinary knowledge. Major setting is mainly determined according to the needs of industrial and agricultural production development and social development, and based on the principle of what to do and what to learn. The enrollment targets are all autonomous regions, counties, cities and units affiliated to Xinjiang Construction Corps. Correspondence education started from 1956 and was accepted by the proposition examination of our college. Starting from 1986, we passed the national unified entrance examination for adult colleges and universities, and were admitted on the basis of merit. After entering the school, freshmen mainly take self-taught exams, and they are taught face-to-face for one month each semester.
