Nankai University hired famous scholars to offer law courses for Nankai students at the beginning of its establishment. In the 1920s, 1930s and 40s, famous scholars and legal experts such as Mei Ruqian, Xu Mo, Xiao Gongquan, Wang Ganyu and Zhang Jinjian taught in Nankai successively, or undertook law courses in Nankai. Professor Wang Ganyu has been teaching in Nankai. At present, the Dean of Law School is Professor Zuo Haicong, a famous scholar of international economic law and an outstanding talent of the Ministry of Education in the new century.
