Geographical location and climate of the University of Strasbourg, France
Strasbourg University is located in four main locations in Strasbourg, the northern city of Alsace, France, and some parts of Alsace, with a total of 1 10 buildings and 80 hectares of land. Strasbourg is located at the eastern end of French territory, facing Germany across the Rhine River, and is the capital of Alsace and Lower Rhine Province in France. This city has a population of about 270,000, with a total population of over 860,000 in the metropolitan area across France and Germany (called "European Area"). Historically, Germany and France have had sovereignty over Strasbourg alternately for many times, so the city has the characteristics of France and Germany in language and culture, and is the meeting place of these two different cultures.

Strasbourg, like Geneva, new york and Montreal, is the headquarters of a few international organizations, and there are many important institutions of the European Union, including Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, the EU Anti-Corruption Agency, Eurocorps, Eurowatch and the most famous European Parliament. The climate type of this city belongs to temperate semi-continental climate. Because the city itself is located in the Rhine Valley, 20 kilometers to the west is the Vosges Mountains, and 25 kilometers to the east is the Black Forest. The wind from all directions is usually blocked by these natural barriers, so the temperature in the city is very high in summer.
