Through years of training and construction, the laboratory has formed a capable and reasonable research team. At present, there are 47 regular researchers. In addition, there are about 15 visiting researchers every year, including postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, leaders of some open projects and people who come to the laboratory for scientific and technological cooperation. Academic leaders include Xiao Guozhen, Fan Changxin, Liu Zengji, Wu, Yi Kechu, Chang Yilin, Ge Jianhua,. In addition, Li Hongbin is the deputy head of the 863-300 special overall research group.

In terms of personnel training, during the period from1997 to 2001,70 doctors, 244 masters and 7 postdocs were trained. In 2000, there were 0/07 doctoral students and 246 master students.

The laboratory actively strives for the support of competent departments and supporting units, adheres to the operating mechanism of "openness, mobility, alliance and competition", and gives full play to the role of academic committees and academic leaders. Extensive cooperative research and academic exchange activities have been carried out.
