The University of World Economics and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as "the University") was established in 1992 by order of Uzbek President Karimov. It is an educational institution dedicated to training and improving experts in world economy, diplomacy, international economic relations, international relations, international law and international news, and carries out various activities in accordance with the Ukrainian Constitution, the Education Law and other relevant laws. The President of the University is Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, and the First Vice President (former Deputy Foreign Minister) Buick Mladov is in charge of daily affairs. The university consists of the Institute of International Economic Relations, the Institute of International Relations and the International Law School, with more than 1 000 students.
The School of International Law was founded in 1993, with six departments: (1) Department of Civil Law; (2) National institutions and legal departments; (3) Department of International Comparative Law; (4) Private international law and humanitarian law; (5) Department of International Economic Law; (6) Department of International Law and English.
