Chongqing Normal University is neither a 985 university nor a 2 1 1 university. Chongqing Normal University, referred to as "Chongqing Normal University", is located in Chongqing, a municipality directly under the Central Government of China. It is a comprehensive normal university with coordinated development of multi-disciplines, and has been selected as one of the first batch of "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan and Excellent Teachers Training Plan". First, the history of Chongqing Normal University:

1, 1906, East Sichuan Teachers College was formally established. The main body was founded in 1954 and named Chongqing Normal University.

2. 1960, the school was renamed Chongqing Normal University, and in the same year, it obtained the qualification of undergraduate major setting.

3. Chongqing Normal University was renamed as 1962, and chengdu normal university merged at the same time.

4. 1978 was renamed Chongqing Normal University again.
