Is it unfair for universities to offer "love courses"?
20 15 In the first week of the new school year, students of Tianjin University got a course named "Theory and Practice of Romance". The starting unit is the Youth League Committee, with two credits, and the speaker is the "Queqiao Club" of the Student Union. The students' grades in "Love Class" are divided into in-class notes and final stage plays. This is crossing the river by feeling the stones. The person in charge of the "Queqiao Club" said, "We have applied what we have learned in the course to good goals and can give full marks as appropriate." (China Youth Daily, September 2 1) The course "Theory and Practice of Love Studies" in Tianjin University was blown up as soon as it was reported by the media. Universities should not be regarded as "marriage agencies". Is it necessary to learn the "law of picking up girls" in college love classes? It seems that once a university offers courses unrelated to study, it will become an original sin and be criticized. The question is, what's wrong with college students offering love classes and trying to make them fall in love and get rich academically? A dating website recently released a survey report on college students' love and friendship. The results show that 54% of college students do not actively pursue love, and 48.73% prefer to pursue each other through online chat. The data shows that "finding a love object", "spiritual emptiness, finding a sustenance", "finding a small partner to study with" and "meeting physiological needs" rank among the top four purposes of making friends on college students' social networking sites. Among them, "finding a lover" is as high as 35.44%, "meeting physiological needs" is 17.8 1%, and "getting married" is at the bottom, accounting for only 3.5%. It can be said that college students nowadays lack the minimum understanding and respect for marriage and love, and also lack rational coping methods. As early as 20 1 1, the Beijing Ministry of Education issued the syllabus of "Psychological Health of College Students", encouraging universities in Beijing to teach students how to fall in love in psychology. It can be said that the lack of sex education and marriage education in China is basically recognized by the society and is social knowledge. Isn't it a response to this demand and reality to offer love classes in schools now? It is hard to say that the starting point of netizens' criticism is objective. What's more, as we all know, among young people nowadays, more and more people pay more attention to material things, and even prefer to be the mistress of others. Under such circumstances, isn't it good to introduce college love courses? And their textbooks, such as Psychology of Love and Economics of Love, are just the knowledge blind spots that college students lack. In fact, combing some netizens' objections to the "college love class", it is not difficult to find that these people still look at college students' love with colored glasses, as if love and study are in conflict with each other. But the reality has proved that people need to do what they should do at the right time, just as people's bodies need different nutrition at different stages. In college, people's spirit and body are full of yearning for love. This activity naturally makes college students fall in love and understand what love is, what responsibility is and what marriage is. Otherwise, young people will also lack these necessary elements. In the years after graduation, I will not know how to fall in love and what is responsibility. Imagine those who hurt themselves and others because of lovelorn love, isn't it because of poor correction in love class? The purpose of college love course is to apply what they have learned and let students know how to establish a correct view of family and marriage, because only those who have experienced it will gain something, and every new family will become an important foundation for national development, national progress and social harmony.
