Xi' an has an agricultural university, the complete school name is; Northwest A&F University is located in Yangling District, Xi. Northwest A&F University (Northwest A&; F University), referred to as "Western Agriculture" or "Northwest Agricultural University", is located in Yangling, a big agricultural city. It is one of the 32 national key universities directly under the Ministry of Education, one of the national key universities under the "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and one of the 40 national key universities under the "Subject Construction Plan for Aid to Xinjiang" of the Ministry of Education. Established by Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Water Resources, State Forestry Administration and other ministries 16 and Shaanxi Province. It is also the birthplace of modern higher agricultural education in northwest China.
